When is the event?

Night to Shine 2024 is Friday, February 9, at Nats Park in Washington, DC!

Check-In Information will be updated soon for participants.

What Time is the event?

NTS 2024 is from 6–9pm. Participants should arrive to the designated check-in location at 5:15pm. A limo ride to Nats Park will be provided to each participant. 

 

How should I get to the event?

Guests are responsible for their own transportation to the event. Guests arriving via Metro can follow the Night to Shine signs to check-in for the event. All guests should exit the Navy Yard Metro via the Department of Transportation exit to make their way to guest check-in. 

Parents who are driving can park for free at Nats Park. You should get your participant checked in at the designated check-in location and then proceed to parking at the venue. More parking info coming soon!

ALL volunteers, (unless contacted by your NTS team leader) should arrive to the stadium by 5:00pm. Volunteers will enter Nats Park via the Suites and Media entrance on the west side of the stadium. 

 

What should I wear?

It's a prom! Dress your best! If you are a participant, we provide clothing to anyone who requests help. When you register, please specify if you have a need.

 

What activities are provided at night to shine?

Some of the activities you will be able to enjoy at Night to Shine include karaoke, hair and makeup touch-ups, sensory room, a dance floor and more!

Is there food provided?

Yes, there will be heavy hors d’ouevres provided at Night to Shine for all of our honored guests and their families.

What is the respite room?

The Respite Room provides the opportunity for parents and caregivers to rest and enjoy a night off, knowing that their loved ones are having an amazing time in a safe environment with a personally assigned volunteer buddy.

What is the sensory area?

The Sensory Area is a quiet space removed from the main event area where guests can take a few minutes away from the lights, noise and excitement of Night to Shine should they begin to feel overwhelmed or over-stimulated.

What do I do if i am bringing an honored guest (attendee) as a caretaker?

You get to rest and enjoy a night off, knowing that your loved ones are having an amazing time in a safe environment with a personally assigned volunteer buddy. You and your families have the option to drop-off your participant at the event or attend the event with your honored guest. The Respite Room is for you to relax during the evening.
